To learn to sail you do not have to own your own boat or have any previous experience. You can take single day classes just to get the feel of sailing, group classes, privately tutored classes, even special classes just for you and members of your family. As your skills develop, you can connect with local sailings clubs and organizations where you can share use of larger boats, arrange for bareboat rentals, crew with others to practice your skills while developing stronger relationships with area sailors.
For experienced boaters, courses are available in offshore passage-making, bareboat chartering, advanced coastal cruising, celestial navigation, instructor qualification training and Yachtmaster certification.
