What to Wear
Marina del Rey is a sophisticated, contemporary community that lies within the eighth-largest city in the world and on the relaxed coast of Southern California.
Dress tends to combine those two elements - urban sophistication and laid-back seaside casualness. Comfortable, stylish, casual clothing works well year-round. Jackets and ties are optional even at the most elegant restaurants, and are never required.
For sightseeing, the best idea is to dress in layers. Be sure to bring a jacket, sweater, or sweatshirt - the breezes off the ocean can get cool, and evening temperatures may dip into the 50s (F) in the winter.
