CRUISES INTO SUMMER SERVICE
New Reduced Fare, Day Pass and Playa Vista Beach Shuttle Offered
The Los Angeles County Department of Beaches and Harbors announced today the Marina del Rey WaterBus summer weekend service begins Friday, June 30th through Labor Day September 4th. Riders can schedule an on-call pick-up by dialing (310) 628-3219 to board the boats featuring the new WaterBus logo.
Service is available Fridays from 5 pm to midnight, Saturdays from 11 am to midnight and Sundays and Monday, July 3 from 11 am to 9 pm. Holiday WaterBus service is available Tuesday, July 4th from 11 am to midnight and Labor Day Monday, September 4th, from 11 am to 9 pm.
A special Thursday evening WaterBus schedule will operate during the Marina del Rey Summer Concert Series in July and August, shuttling concertgoers directly to and from the concert site.
Six Marina boarding locations include Fisherman's Village at 13755 Fiji Way; Burton Chace Park at 13650 Mindanao Way; Waterfront Walk/Fire Station #110 at 4433 Admiralty Way; Mother's Beach at 4101 Admiralty Way; Dolphin Marina at 13900 Panay Way, Dock Gate #C-200; and Marina Harbor at 14028 Tahiti Way, Dock Gate #A-2200. Tickets are available at each boarding location for $1.00 per person, one-way. Day passes for a $5.00 fee are also available for purchase, as well as season boarding passes for $30.00.
All WaterBus boarding locations are fully ADA compliant except Fisherman's Village. Vehicle parking is available for a minimal fee at Los Angeles County lots located throughout Marina del Rey.
Land transportation will be provided by the Playa Vista Beach Shuttle to drop-off and pick-up locations throughout Marina del Rey, Playa del Rey and Venice. The Playa Vista Beach Shuttle will also provide service to and from the Marina del Rey Summer Concert Series.
