Day Trips to Catalina Island
High-speed catamaran service to Catalina Island is available seasonally from Fisherman’s Village. This is a fun way to spend the day and to get out on the open waters of the Pacific Ocean. Harbor Kayaking Outings
Leisure kayaking outings are offered on six selected Saturdays throughout the year, giving participants the opportunity to practice basic kayaking skills and enjoy the Marina’s basins. L.A. County Department of Beaches & Harbors, W.A.T.E.R program. Reservations 310-305-9587.
Surf Kayaking Excursions
Kayakers get the opportunity to kayak through the Marina del Rey harbor and head out towards the North Jetty, where they surf the waves aboard sit-on-top kayaks. Summer Weekend Water Bus
Operating summer weekends, holidays, and concert nights, the Marina del Rey Water Bus offers easy and quick transportation between six points in the Marina, including Burton Chace Park, Fisherman’s Village, Mother’s Beach and Waterfront Walk. Schedules and route information are available at local hotels.
Summer Cocktail Cruises
Throughout the summer months, Wednesday evening cocktail cruises are popular in the Marina, and offer the special treat of seeing first hand dozens of boats competing in summer sailing races throughout the community.

Catalina - Marina del Rey Flyer
High-speed, 149-passenger catamaran service from Marina del Rey's Fisherman's Village to Catalina Island, including the ports of Avalon and Two Harbors. Service is seasonal; please call for schedules. Group rates are available for 20 or more passengers.
Private charters are available for corporate events, family and social celebrations, cocktails cruises and private tours.

Hornblower Cruises & Events

Marina del Rey Sportfishing
Daily public half-day and 3/4-day open party fishing excursions depart mornings and afternoons; some sunset trips available; fishing experience not necessary; knowledgeable guides are on hand to help. Licenses, poles and bait can be supplied. One-day advance reservations required. Groups welcome. Call for information on seasonal dolphin watching tours. UCLA Marina Aquatic Center
The facility offers instruction in sailing, rowing, kayaking, surfing, and windsurfing, including classes designed to give short-term visitors a brief introduction to new activities.
